We have several locations across the US and are looking for new Associates to join our team POSITION PURPOSE This position is a member of the Quality, Compliance & Laboratory Safety team and will work to support the overall quality practices and direction of the R&D team in disinfectants, antiseptics and cleaning products in the Healthcare and Professional Food service businesses. The primary function of this position is to support new process improvements with cross-functional teams that allows the smooth progression of projects through PDI s stage gate procedure. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES QUALITY: a. Authors SOPs, work instructions, forms, project reports and presentations. b. Generates and analyzes data to identify trends in quality metrics. c. Assists with implementation of new electronic notebook and documentation repository process for R&D. d. Works on continuous improvement efforts toward data integrity and research processes. COMPLIANCE a. Implements documentation compliance program, ensuring accuracy and consistency within the Electronic Document Management System. b. Reviews R&D procedures for efficacy and accuracy. c. Executes a regular cadence of compliance audits within R&D laboratories. d. Generates reports on internal KPIs and motivates peers for continuous improvement. LABORATORY SAFETY: a. Implements EHS program through managing safety equipment, Satellite and Main Accumulation Area compliance, signage, and training support. b. Assists all laboratory staff with regulation requirements. c. Maintains equipment and calibration logs for all labs. d. Maintains and troubleshoots equipment and optimizes laboratory space to ensure an efficient flow of work. e. Supports hazardous shipping program to ship laboratory samples according to DOT and IATA regulations. PERFORMANCE MEASUREMENTS 1. Ability to work in partnership with the product development, technical services, corporate quality, and regulatory functions. 2. Create a working environment of safety and compliance. 3. Streamline existing processes to reduce redundancy and demonstrate efficiencies. 4. Able to communicate and cooperate with other team members and cross function teams effectively. 5. Capacity to learn new skills and regulations as position evolves. Requirements QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION: University Degree in a Science or Engineering required. Masters an advantage. REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE: Strong understanding of general chemistry laboratory techniques. Knowledge of one or more of the following regulations: FDA, EPA, DOT, RCRA, IATA. Knowledge of quality tools (control charts, Kanban, Kaizen, PCDA cycle, Pareto charts, etc.) and willing to learn implementation techniques. EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: 3 yrs of QC or R&D experience. Experience in working in GxP laboratory facilities preferred. Demonstrated leadership role (science or non-science based). SKILLS/ABILITIES: Excellent communication skills (verbal / written). Highly motivated to work as a member of a nimble team. Embraces change and risk, and exhibits flexibility. Exhibits excellent organization, planning and multi-tasking skills; able to handle multiple projects/tasks at the same time. Computer literate (Intermediate/Advanced Excel and Word, Electronic Notebook).
